Prevention Guidelines for Men 18-39

Here are the screening tests and immunizations that most men age 18-39 need. Although you and your healthcare provider may decide that a different schedule is best for you, this plan can guide your discussion.

Cholesterol

All men age 35 and older, and some younger.

Adults who are overweight or have other risk factors such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, or family history of diabetes

HIV

Anyone at increased risk

Tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis (Td/Tdap) booster

Td: Every 10 years.

Tdap: Once in adulthood

Chickenpox (varicella)

All adults ages 19-49 who do not have a history of chickenpox.
